  • Review current year’s LAND Trust plan and review if on course
    • We are on course with our action steps and budget!
  • Begin writing TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next school year. We will submit our plan by the  April due date.
    • TSSP will be created by school and goals shared with SCC for input-
    • SCC will develop LAND Trust plan to address an academic goal from TSSP
      •  Our BLT has been brainstorming ideas and suggests the plan focuses on the growth model for reading.  They suggest to focus on increasing skills 10% from winter to spring pathways of progress data.
      • The committee asked how does this  apply to EEC? Most take an alternative assessment, so don’t fall within this goal.
      • The sction items proposed that focus on structured classroom discussion and QTEL strategies are pretty straightforward. 10% is a great goal and compared to the previous three years it’s not too aggressive. The committee agrees this goal sounds reasonable. The love keeping the public practice in the action steps so teachers can continue to  learn from each other. Focusing on student discourse will not just benefit ELA skills. We can talk about and build academic language and social skills in all content areas with these proposed strategies.
