Hello Sprucewood Community,
Have you ever wondered why you should join the PTA or the benefit of volunteering at a school event? Well, hopefully this will answer those questions for you. When my children were younger, I didn’t participate much with the school other than helping occasionally in the classroom and attending the school programs. The last couple years, I have become more involved.
I have found that this has made me feel more connected to my children’s school. I have helped plan and execute events and have connected with remarkable parents. If you want to feel connected to what is going on at Sprucewood, start small. Consider this a personal invitation from me to come to our monthly meetings. They are held every first Friday of the month at 9:30 am. We welcome and encourage all that can attend to come. We want you there and to hear your ideas about how to make this year great.
If you can’t attend the meetings, we do post the minutes on Memberhub. Also, if you are not currently receiving invitations to sign up to help at events, please take a minute and email our volunteer coordinator, Angie Baker at email@example.com with your name and email address. She will put you on a general volunteer list and you will be emailed whenever we have a need for volunteers. That way, you can choose to volunteer with those events that work with your schedule. Please get involved, support your child’s school. Together we can make it a great community for both our children and us!
