Hello Sprucewood Parents,
Our school needs School Community Council (SCC) members to serve for the 2021-2022 school year. Serving on our SCC is a wonderful way for parents and teachers to contribute and help improve academic performance at our school. The school receives an annual dividend from the school trust lands. Our council decides how these funds will be used. The council also reviews and prepares other academic plans for our students each year. Sprucewood’s SCC meets for one hour once a month on Monday evenings at 4:00pm. Members have an expectation of attendance according to the council’s bylaws. This year’s schedule is as follows:

We have six parent positions to fill! If we have more than six parents interested, then we will run an election. If an election is necessary, it will begin on September 3rd and end on September 10th. I will provide follow up information next week.
