Hello Sprucewood Families,
1. Attendance Letters: Many of you may have received attendance letters from our office recently. Consistent attendance has positive impacts on student achievement and student well-being. Every absence from school interferes with your child’s opportunity to learn. Chronic Absenteeism, defined as missing 10% or more of the school year (including excused and unexcused absences), has a significant negative effect on student achievement and may put a student at academic risk. Please use these attendance guidelines:
- Send your student to school when he/she is healthy.
- Keep your student home only when he/she is sick.
- Call the front office every time your student is absent (801-826-9475).
- Call the front office even when you let your student’s teacher know about the absence (801-826-9475).
- Complete the green Education Leave/Vacation Form located in the front office whenever your family is taking a vacation during school days.

2. Office Closed: Please note that our office will be closed, and our front doors will be locked Friday, December 9th 2:00-4:00pm for a staff event.
Go Falcons!
