Yesterday, we celebrated one of Sprucewood’s finest staff members – Mariana Regla , MTSS Assistant, for our weekly Red Shoes Living Award. Mariana was nominated for the Red Shoes Living Award by Principal Lennox & Assistant Principal Livingston and Madeleine Homer, Social Worker at Sprucewood.
Mariana was recognized in front of the entire Falcon student body and staff and also joined alongside her immediate family. Mariana exemplifies what it means to stand out for the positivity in others. As part of her nomination, the following excerpt was shared in the assembly:
“Mariana goes above and beyond each day for our students at Sprucewood. She is an incredible example of love, respect and kindness at our school. She works with some of the most vulnerable students and she understands that everyone has a story of their own that can be contributing to their challenging behaviors. She leads with love and laughter. She seeks to understand kids and make meaningful connections with them. She’s a huge advocate for both students, staff, and teachers. She supports our teachers in staff in so many ways from taking students on breaks, to covering classes, to playing games with our students. She chooses each day to lead with love.”
We are so glad Mariana Regla is a Sprucewood Falcon.
