Faculty Spotlight – Sara Lee

Mrs. Lee is our school librarian.  She has been married to her husband for almost 21 year and they have a son, Peyton and a daughter, Meryn. Peyton was born in 2004 and he’s a freshman at the U. Meryn was born in 2006 and is a junior at Jordan High School.  She went to SUU and got her BA in English with a literature emphasis.  Her favorite food is Smothered burritos with rice and beans or Gyros with lots of tzatzkiki sauce.  Her favorite treat is coconut cream pie.  In her free time, Mrs. Lee likes to read, of course but she also likes to watch TV, play the piano, sing, and spend time with her family.  She has two cats. Bronco is a 6 year old 17 lb. orange and white tabby. He’s named after the Denver Broncos. He’s very particular about what/who he likes. Blackbeard is our kitten! He was born in March of 2022 and we adopted him in May of 2022. He’s pretty little (about 5 lbs) and he’s gray and white. He’s very cuddly and he will scream at you if you’re in the kitchen and not giving him snacks. He also has a tendency to live up to his pirate name.  English was her favorite subject because she was good at it and she loved (and still loves) to get carried away in a story.  When she gets the chance, she loves to go somewhere she has never been before, but usually she goes to Long Beach, CA to visit her parents.  Mrs. Lee loves working in the library at Sprucewood. She tells the kids that she loves two things: kids and books so that’s how she knows she is in the perfect place for her. This photo of Mrs. Lee is her living her best crazy cat lady life.
