Cathy Schino is the Principal of Sprucewood.
I have been an educator for 30 years now. I taught all grade levels Kindergarten through 5th grade while I was a classroom teacher. I was an instructional coach and assistant principal. Now I am in my 11th year as an elementary school principal. I’ve been married to my husband, Joe, for 26 years. We love traveling to the beach and hiking in the mountains together. We have two boys. Sam is a graduate of Utah State and is an airline pilot. Gabe is graduating from UNLV this year from the hospitality department and Professional Golf Management program. We have a little dog with a big personality named Cici. I love to read fiction stories for leisure, play card games and hike every weekend.
I am so happy to be in my 4th year as Principal of Sprucewood Elementary. My favorite thing about working at our school is the PEOPLE! Our students are kind and caring. Our parents support their children and our school. Our teachers and aides are dedicated and talented. You can feel the positive vibes the second you walk into Sprucewood and I am grateful to be a part of such a strong learning community.
