Falcon Friday Spotlight: Dr. Alec Brown, School Psychologis
tHi Sprucewood Falcons! For those of you who may not know me, I am the school psychologist at Sprucewood Elementary, and I’m excited to be back for my third year supporting the school community. Although I’m still relatively new to Sprucewood, I have over 20 years of experience working in the field of school psychology, mostly in elementary schools, and I hold graduate degrees from Brigham Young University and Arizona State University.
At home, I’m fortunate to be married to my high school sweetheart—we’ve been together for more than 25 years, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner to do life with! We have four children, ranging from 12 to 23. We also have one adorable border-doodle who is constantly disappointed by our lack of stamina when it comes to playing catch, tug-of-war and chase. When I get the chance, I love to get outside and explore with my family. Recent adventures have included a camper-van road trip through southeastern Utah, camping at Lava Hot Springs, and tackling the Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata. I’m also a fan of just about anything involving sports—especially if I can watch it live. This summer, I had a blast following the 2026 World Cup.
My favorite thing about working at Sprucewood is sharing in the energy and enthusiasm of our awesome students. I love having a good laugh with our students, or playing a quick game on the playground or in the gym whenever I get the chance.
