Second Grade Social Studies focuses on holidays! Specifically standard 2.3.6, which is “Identify celebrations and state and national holidays that remember and honor people and events in the history of Utah and the United States.”
We learned all about the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade through stories and videos. Then, we designed our own balloons! Our amazing art teacher Mrs. Benshoff taught the students about texture and how to make their designs 3D with stuffing. We had our parade today.
