Sprucewood parents- we need you!
Junior Achievement Classroom Volunteers will teach 6 pre-planned lessons about the community in Sprucewood classrooms. Volunteers are needed for all classrooms grades 1-4. Lessons will be taught from the end of February to beginning of April. Check each teacher’s sign up for specific dates and times as they all vary. If your child’s teacher is already signed up for, please consider signing up to teach in other classrooms who did not receive a volunteer by using the “Any Classroom” slot. Or you may sign up in the “co-teaching” slot to share the lessons with another parent.
Here is a description of the Junior Achievement Program:
Our programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities.
